Shelly Boomershine, CRPS®
Client Executive
Shelly Boomershine joined the MJ team as a plan operations manager and has since transitioned to the role of client executive within the Retirement department. Shelly collaborates closely with the retirement advisors to ensure successful execution of their retirement and financial wellbeing strategy. As a client executive, Shelly oversees plan processes, conducts extensive plan document review, and provides operational support to the team.
Shelly’s invaluable contribution stems from her diverse experience, having worked at a Big 4 accounting firm, an insurance company, and a third-party administrator based in Indianapolis. Additionally, she has contributed to multiple local private wealth management firms. These varied experiences have honed her expertise, enabling her to provide customized solutions to the clients she serves.
Ashley Burchard
Director, Retirement Communication + Engagement
Ashley Burchard joined the MJ team in 2012, initially serving as the marketing director for the MJ Retirement department. Through her exceptional performance, she earned a promotion to the role of director of retirement communication + engagement, where she oversees the development and execution of client-specific financial wellness campaigns.
Ashley brings over a decade of sales, business development, and brand management experience to the team. She plays an instrumental role in MJ’s ability to evaluate, strategize, and advance both internal and external communication processes. While her tenure and accomplishments are impressive to most, Ashley is most proud of bringing the annual 4.01k Race for Financial Fitness to Indianapolis, raising over $130,000 for financial literacy programs at local nonprofits.
Nathan Cook
Account Manager
Nathan Cook joined the MJ team as a plan operations assistant and has since progressed to the role of account manager within the Retirement department. In his current position, Nathan assists our clients in navigating their retirement needs, providing both short- and long-term solutions. He collaborates with team members to develop client reports, review plan design summaries, and facilitate other key deliverables, ensuring that clients can achieve the future they envision.
Prior to MJ, Nathan accumulated professional experience in the personal finance industry, working as an associate financial representative. This experience allowed him to discover his passion for crafting personalized solutions for clients and makes him a valuable asset to the MJ team.
Brea Dantin
Retirement Plan Advisor
Brea Dantin is a retirement plan advisor and chief operations officer in the MJ Retirement department, where she advises retirement plan committees and oversees the department’s operations. Drawing on over two decades of specialized experience in retirement savings and employee benefits, Brea possesses an unparalleled ability to stay abreast of trends in the retirement plan industry. Leveraging this expertise, she assists clients in optimizing their plans for both plan sponsors and participants alike.
Brea’s interest in the financial industry led her to a career where she quickly discovered the perfect fit for her skills. A natural leader, her motivation stems from a passion for coaching those in need of financial support, and she finds continual inspiration in the challenge of guiding groups of employees toward a secure retirement.
Paul Donahue, CFP®, AIF®
Retirement Plan Advisor
Bringing over 25 years of experience to the MJ Retirement team, Paul Donahue helps individuals and organizations set and achieve financial goals to improve retirement outcomes. As a retirement plan advisor, Paul assists clients with the review and development of plan design to achieve organizational goals. Additionally, Paul serves as a member of the MJ Retirement Investment Committee.
As a Certified Financial Planner™, Paul has worked with business owners, corporations, charitable organizations, and individuals. Paul utilizes his wealth of knowledge to help plan committees and plan participants through financial education.
Matt Fleck
Retirement Plan Advisor
Matt Fleck is as a retirement plan advisor in the MJ Retirement department and has been advising plan sponsors since 2006. At MJ, Matt helps employers manage every facet of their retirement plan including fiduciary risk management, committee governance, plan design, investment due diligence, fee benchmarking, vendor oversight, and participant education.
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience, Matt utilizes his expertise to create well-designed programs that enable clients to optimize their retirement plans. Matt was named a Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisor by the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) in 2020, 2022, and 2023.
Anna Kate Ohl
Associate Account Manager
Anna Kate Ohl joined the MJ team as a plan operations assistant. Currently, she holds the position of associate account manager in the MJ Retirement department. In this role, Anna collaborates with her team to offer daily support to our clients and assists with scheduling, drafting reports, facilitating quarterly deliverable projects, and managing the client portal.
Prior to joining MJ, Anna earned her degree in communication studies from Ball State University. Today, she applies her communication skills and expertise to stay organized, communicate effectively, and aid the MJ Retirement team in providing our clients with an exceptional experience.
Amy Pinder
Client Executive, Retirement
Amy Pinder joined the MJ team in 2017 as an office assistant and after managing many positions on the team, she has transitioned to the role of client executive in our Retirement department. Amy is responsible for oversight of plan processes, conducting extensive plan document review, and providing operational support to the team’s Retirement Advisors.
Prior to MJ, Amy accumulated experience in the hospitality and healthcare industries, where she developed a passion for delivering the highest level of customer care. She has seamlessly transferred this dedication to her current role, navigating the dynamic landscape of the retirement industry while upholding the commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Doug Prince, AIFA®
Retirement Plan Advisor, CEO
Douglas “Doug” Prince is a retirement plan advisor and CEO of MJ Retirement. Doug has been advising institutional retirement plan sponsors since 1990. His team was formed in 1998, specializing in servicing 401(k), 403(b), and other corporate retirement plans, supporting employers in their efforts to improve the financial outcomes of their workforce. Now a part of The MJ Companies, Doug and his team manage retirement plans and financial wellbeing programs—working with employers to make strategic decisions to improve financial outcomes.
Doug has led his team to be recognized as the Top Retirement Plan Advisor Team in 2010 by PLANSPONSOR magazine and has consistently been recognized as one of the top Defined Contribution Plan Advisors in the country by the National Association of Plan Advisors.
Jeff Prince, CPA, AIF®, CRPS®
Retirement Plan Advisor
Jeff Prince joined the MJ team in 2010 as a retirement plan advisor. His role involves close collaboration with plan sponsor clients, assisting them with the plan design, management, and investment selection and monitoring of both defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Jeff draws on his previous experience working with individual clients, which has equipped him to address the more extensive needs of the plan sponsor.
Prior to MJ, Jeff gained a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry during his studies at the University of Cincinnati. Today, he utilizes this knowledge to consult clients, helping them establish financial goals, understand regulations, and implement strategies for sound financial planning. Jeff finds great satisfaction in providing MJ Retirement clients with financial questions, financial analysis, and offering insights into the regulatory landscape originating from Washington.
Chase Sanders
Investment Analyst
Chase Sanders joined the MJ team in 2013 as a reporting and research associate in the MJ Retirement department, where he revamped the reporting system, creating efficient data collection and reporting processes. Over time, Chase progressed to the role of investment analyst, where he manages investment reporting and monitoring for institutional clients.
Prior to MJ, Chase pursued academic studies at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), gaining extensive knowledge in the finance and accounting industries. His finance expertise has led to his inclusion on the Investment Committee, where he provides detailed investment analyses and recommendations. Currently, Chase is preparing for the CFA Level 3 examination.
