Team MJ

Logan Brady joined the MJ team as a platform support analyst in our Enterprise Data department. In this role, Logan is in charge of proactively tracking and resolving missing data feeds and system failures to ensure uninterrupted operations. He also onboards new clients to APERTURE®, and serves as the primary contact for user support. He is dedicated to delivering white glove service while providing technical expertise.

Prior to MJ, Logan worked in a variety of roles that sharpened his skills with building and maintaining data entry systems. In his previous experience as a management analyst, Logan worked closely across teams to support customers in set-up, clean-up, and ongoing maintenance for their platforms. He acted as a primary contact for trouble-shooting, and provided weekly updates to keep everyone on track. His organization and technical knowledge makes Logan an asset to MJ.

Branden Bushelle joined the MJ team as a database analyst in the Enterprise Data department and has since been promoted to the manager of data and automation. In his role, Branden manages all database processing functions, including merging, purging, and cleaning data. Branden also plays a critical role in developing and implementing databases and providing analytics to optimize efficiency and quality for MJ’s clientele.

Prior to MJ, Branden’s previous experiences included engineering, with an interest in data integration, making him an excellent fit for this position. Branden brings with him a robust ability to use his innovative mindset to problem-solve and develop solutions that enables MJ to be the tech enabled, data-driven organization that it is today.

Noah Chopp joined the MJ team as a data analytics intern in our Risk Management + Commercial Insurance department. After graduating from Butler University, he joined the team full-time as a data integration analyst. Currently, he holds the position of senior RPA developer in our Enterprise Data department. In this role, Noah assists in driving new solutions for how we collect, evaluate and analyze data to make tactical and strategic recommendations regarding business issues. He works across our teams to identify automation opportunities that will allow our
teams to focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience .

Prior to MJ, Noah worked as an actuarial intern, where he performed model updates and created a standardized process for impact analysis. Throughout his career, Noah has cultivated a data-driven mindset and a strong interest in designing automated processes to simplify data
pipelines, which makes him a valuable asset to the MJ team.

Wes Edrington joined The MJ Companies in 2018 as a senior risk analyst within the Risk Management + Commercial Insurance department and has since advanced into an enterprise leadership role as executive vice president of operations & data. In this role, Wes provides strategic leadership for MJ’s enterprise data strategy, operational excellence initiatives, and technology-enabled growth efforts. He is responsible for ensuring the firm’s data assets are trusted and actionable, helping teams make informed decisions and deliver value to clients. As a member of MJ’s Executive Leadership Team, Wes helps align data and technology with MJ’s long-term business strategy.

During his tenure, Wes has been a driving force behind the evolution of APERTURE®, MJ’s proprietary analytics platform, with a particular focus on building the platform to scale alongside the firm’s data and client demands. He also leads MJ’s sourcing of insurtech solutions and third-party data partnerships, modernizing how associates work and giving MJ the scale of data needed to compete with both relevance and agility. Today, he leads a cross-functional team spanning the full data lifecycle, from engineering and analysis to product and governance, and oversees the business analysts driving operational efficiency across the enterprise, ensuring MJ’s day-to-day processes are as reliable and scalable as its data.

Brian Gratigny joined the MJ team in 2014 as director of health risk management and has since been promoted to senior vice president of product, APERTURE® where he oversees the Analytics practice in our Enterprise Data department. In his role, Brian leads a team of expert analysts responsible for delivering in-depth analysis and data-driven insights that empower MJ clients to make informed decisions. As a vital member of MJ’s Senior Leadership Team, Brian provides a critical and unique perspective to influence enterprise-wide data strategies.

Prior to joining MJ, Brian worked as director of business analytics for UnitedHealthcare. With nearly two decades of industry experience, Brian and his team work to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to clients while addressing key business goals and initiatives. The need for data and business analytics is continually growing, which pushes Brian and his team to continue to innovate MJ’s proprietary analytics platform, APERTURE®. Brian’s strategic marketing, research, and analytical knowledge have made him an invaluable member of our organization.

Ian Haas joined the MJ team as a senior data engineer in our Enterprise Data department and now serves as data engineering manager. Ian plays a key role in leading the development of innovative solutions that help navigate complex and evolving data, turning ambiguity into clear, actionable insights. He oversees the design and implementation of data transformation workflows that ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting, improve documentation of data models, and support scalable, data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Prior to joining MJ, Ian gained experience as an application developer in the public sector, specializing in retirement systems. In this role, he built dashboards to evaluate logged system integrations, wrote custom scripts to support data acquisition efforts, and provided technical guidance to his team. Today, Ian leverages his expertise to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and integrations within MJ’s proprietary analytics platform, APERTURE®, helping provide secure access to accurate, comprehensive information for MJ and our clients.

Noor Hassuneh joined the MJ team as an enterprise data intern and has since stepped into a full-time role as an associate software engineer on the same team. In this role, Noor helps build and maintain the web applications, APIs, and internal automations that power APERTURE and keep MJ’s operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Lead Software Architect and senior engineers, he contributes code, tests, and documentation while learning MJ’s engineering practices from the ground up. His work supports the integrations and automations that cut down on manual work across the company, giving his teammates more time to focus on higher-value projects.

Prior to his internship at MJ, Noor built full-stack features for a technology startup, working across authentication systems, profile management, and backend scalability while contributing to AI chatbot and calendar functionality within a mobile app. He also spent time in media production, supporting content creation and market research for client campaigns, and served as a teaching assistant at Indiana University Indianapolis, mentoring students through core object-oriented programming concepts. That mix of building, creating, and teaching gives Noor a practical, detail-oriented approach that he brings to every feature and integration he ships for MJ.

Rahul Jha joined the MJ team as an analyst in our Enterprise Data department. Rahul plays a key role in developing innovative solutions to navigate complex and evolving data, helping turn ambiguity into clear, actionable insights. He also contributes to the extrapolation and validation of data, generating reports that highlight key trends and patterns to inform and drive strategic business decisions for our clients.

Prior to joining MJ, Rahul gained experience working as a product business analyst in the healthcare AI space, building dashboards to evaluate insights, performing technical support, and leading data acquisition efforts. He effectively leverages his expertise to continuously build out and improve features in our proprietary analytics platform, APERTURE®, thereby facilitating easy and quick access to accurate and comprehensive information for MJ and our clients.

Myles Lyngh joined the MJ team as a database specialist in our Enterprise Data department. In his role, Myles is responsible for developing queries that convert internal and external data into usable datasets. Additionally, he is tasked with improving the efficiency and quality of data systems by devising innovative methods to obtain and analyze data.

Prior to joining MJ, Myles gained experience working with databases and adapting his skills to various programming languages. He effectively leverages his expertise to create programming efficiencies in our propriety analytics platform, APERTURE®, thereby facilitating easy and
quick access to clean and comprehensive information for MJ and our clients.
