The MJ Companies named to Greenleaf Servant Leader Hall of Fame

It’s nice to get noticed—and even nicer to get noticed for being exactly who you are. We’re honored to have been named to the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership Hall of Fame, which recognizes individuals and organizations for a “longstanding commitment to placing a primary focus on the wellbeing of others, resulting in measurable impact on individuals, communities, organizations, and society.”

Receiving the award “affirms not only what we do but the kind of organization we are striving to be,” The MJ Companies President and Chief Operating Officer Jon Loftin said in his acceptance speech. “We are thrilled to be counted among those who have made a commitment to placing the wellbeing of others at the center of leadership.”

Known for coining the term “servant leadership” and for popularizing the principle, Robert K. Greenleaf advocated for leaders to prioritize the needs of others and helping them grow to become “healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, and more likely themselves to become servants.”

“Our purpose at The MJ Companies is clear,” Jon noted. “We exist to inspire the success fulfillment, and wellbeing of each person we serve. This recognition is not a finish line. Rather, it is a call to keep serving with passion, to keep leading with humility, and to keep inspiring growth and wellbeing in every life we touch.”

The Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership works to advance the awareness, understanding, and practice of servant leadership, a philosophy in which the leader shares power and puts the needs of others first. Congratulations to our fellow Hall of Fame awardees, which you can read more about here.
