The MJ Companies Appoints Denver-Based Amy Bittner to Vice President, Business & Community Development

DENVER (January 4, 2023) – The MJ Companies, a leading risk management, and employee benefits agency, has announced the hire of Amy Weeks Bittner as vice president, business & community development. A key hire in The MJ Companies’ expansion plan throughout Colorado, Weeks Bittner will promote MJ’s commitment to the community through board service, volunteering and community giving initiatives along with having a focus on new business development for all MJ business units.

Weeks Bittner’s appointment marks the most recent of several strategic hires as MJ continues to expand its presence in Colorado since its market entrance in April 2022. With its one-year anniversary approaching, Weeks Bittner’s role confirms MJ’s commitment and investment in the tight-knit Colorado community.

With over 18 years of experience, Weeks Bittner will work in tandem with Hutchison and MJ’s leadership team and serve as an ongoing relationship manager with key clients, ensuring long-term mutually beneficial relationships. Staying connected to the community, Weeks Bittner will also organize opportunities to connect local business leaders through networking events, roundtables and industry gatherings.

Weeks Bittner received her bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and her master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago. She has served on the boards of the Women’s Bean Project, a transitional job training program for chronically unemployed and impoverished women, and Firefly Autism, a Colorado-based organization committed to changing the landscape of behavioral and mental health for people with Autism. Weeks Bittner is also a member of the Colorado Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce, the first chamber of its kind in the country.
