INDIANAPOLIS (April 4, 2022) – The MJ Companies, a leading risk management, and employee benefits agency for more than 50 years, announced today an expansion of services into Colorado and the opening of a Denver office. Leading the new Denver office is Market President of Colorado, Courtney Hutchison.

After an exhaustive and national search, Denver, Colorado has been selected as the next expansion opportunity for The MJ Companies. MJ’s growth mindset coupled with an extensive list of capabilities and services lined up well with the opportunity to expand into a state nationally that is continuing to see population expansion and a need for options within the insurance space.

Data and technology are at the core of MJ’s client and employee experience strategies, and as such, the decision to expand within Colorado was based on sound data and research. Having the research and data components down was only part of the national search though, the final deciding factor was which state had the strongest leader to grow this new market, and we are proud to announce that Courtney Hutchison is that strong leader.

Hutchison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with minors in both Statistics and Business Marketing from Miami University of Ohio. She also has taken post-graduate coursework in Organizational Leadership from both Harvard Business School and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Hutchison is an active volunteer in the Denver community, the current Board Chair of the American Lung Association in Colorado, and a 2018 Denver Business Journal “40 Under 40” award winner.
