INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 16, 2023) – The MJ Companies, a leading risk management and employee benefits agency for more than 50 years, announced today the addition of Dane Fife as risk management consultant. Fife is a well-known figure in Indiana for his tenure with Indiana University Basketball, as a player and later as a coach.

As risk management consultant Fife will play the role of consultant and advisor to MJ’s commercial insurance clientele. He will contribute to new client acquisition, foster long-term relationships, offer strategic advice and ensure execution of MJ’s consulting process.

In 2005, at the age of 25, Fife was the youngest head coach in NCAA basketball history at the time. He coached the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men’s basketball team to their first ever winning record as a Division I basketball team just a few seasons later. Fife continued his coaching career as assistant head coach at Michigan State in 2011 and assistant coach at Indiana University Bloomington in 2021.
