At MJ, our Purpose is more than insurance solutions; we are committed to inspiring the success, fulfillment and wellbeing of every person we serve, including our associates, clients, business partners and the community.

To best serve our communities, we take a focused approach—concentrating on two local charities where we can get actively involved. Every two years, our associates choose one charitable organization in each market to support as our Charity of Choice. This is where we focus much of our time and resources through the MJ Foundation.

Over the years, we have built strong relationships with these organizations and made meaningful contributions to support their missions. Our Charities of Choice align with the Foundation’s mission to overcome poverty, foster diversity, advance education and embrace humanity. Through our shared mission, we can nurture engagement and create meaningful impact.

We are delighted to introduce our selected charities for 2023-2025: Dayspring Center in Indianapolis, Women’s Bean Project in Denver and The Centers for Habilitation in Phoenix. MJ will highlight each charity for media exposure, deliver a $5,000 grant from the MJ Foundation and host a Day of Service with our MJ associates. Moreover, the chosen charities will receive a toolkit and media calendar.

Dayspring Center is a vital lifeline for homeless families in Indianapolis. Operating as an emergency shelter 24/7, Dayspring provides families in crisis with essential needs like food, clothing, and shelter. Beyond immediate assistance, the center’s experienced case management team works closely with each family, creating personalized plans to address the root causes of homelessness. Their follow-up case management program ensures ongoing support when transitioning to more stable situations. By supporting Dayspring Center, we aim to contribute to healthier, independent lives for these families and create lasting change.

Women’s Bean Project is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) non-profit social enterprise committed to supporting women striving for lasting change in their lives. This organization believes in the transformative power of employment and envisions a future where barriers to job opportunities are eliminated. Through skill development and community support, The Bean Project helps women rediscover their talents and build the confidence necessary to join the workforce. As our first Colorado-based Charity of Choice, we are proud to support an organization that empowers women, fosters self-sufficiency and creates a positive ripple effect benefiting families and communities.

The Centers for Habilitation (TCH) is vital in supporting individuals with developmental or physical disabilities in Arizona. TCH provides the tools and opportunities for more than 23% of Arizona adults with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. From offering life skills training to guiding individuals through career development for independent employment, TCH empowers Arizonians with disabilities to make choices, improve their abilities and regain control over their lives. By partnering with TCH, we aim to contribute to the hope and purpose of individuals with disabilities, ensuring they have access to support and opportunities for personal growth and fulfillment.

The MJ Foundation’s selection of Dayspring Center, Women’s Bean Project and The Centers for Habilitation as our Charities of Choice for 2023-2025 reflects our commitment to positively impacting the communities we serve. Through these partnerships, we strive to empower homeless families, support women on their journey to self-sufficiency and provide hope and purpose to individuals with disabilities. We are excited and honored to join hands with these remarkable organizations to create lasting change and inspire meaningful progress in our communities. Together, we can make a significant difference and continue living our purpose to the fullest.
